Anyone been to a live football game in "enemy" territory?

Like when the team you were playing was the AWAY team. Has anyone gone to watch a live game?

because I have a chance to attend the Patriots v.s. Jaguars, 2nd round match-up. But I want to see if it is really worth it to go to support the visiting team. lol

because I know if you're going to support the home team, the energy you basically can feed off that shit, and it's a great experience. But when it's opposite iunno.

anyone ever experienced that?

^word you been to gillete? I'd be in one of the endzone areas if I went, and would I be able to see the action clearly in the jumbotron?

buit fuck it i think it probably better watching home in HD. lol cuz if i celebrate there, them pyscho boston fans might throw bottles at me LOL

yea i have plenty of times...i go to the alabama/tennessee game every year...

and if you think youve seen crazy fans...come to a rivalry college football game in the south. It is definitely worth it.

J. Luth 01-07-08 01:24 PM

word but still there prolly a lot of alabama fans in tennesse and vice versa. lol

here Boston and florida aren't even close. I doubt there'll be too many jags fans here. And i fucking hate Boston fans, so i don't think I could handle being surrounded by like 50,000 of them lol

.Ike. 01-07-08 08:02 PM

i would love to be in the middle of them with you...

i believe your aware of how much i hate boston as well..

J. Luth 01-07-08 09:40 PM

Are american football fans n e thin like are footbal fans? And do you mean sit in the away end or what?

01-08-08 11:20 AM

lol @ that fucking question

Nope, sorry, our soccer players aren't nearly as siked about throwing pig skins as your country is.

J. Luth 01-08-08 12:34 PM

^he asked if american football fans (NFL) are as crazy as their football fans (soccer as we call it).

i couldn't say though, since I do not know how the latter act lol

01-08-08 12:40 PM

I know, but I don't know how the latter act either.

So I used OUR soccer fans as an example. I don't even know if they have our version of football over there ... >_>

J. Luth 01-08-08 02:43 PM

^LOL i think they got a European NFL. I have no clue if they have any teams from England though. But a lot of college players who are not good enough to make the NFL, go play in the European NFL in hopes NFL scouts might notice them.

but i stil ROFL @ the NFL fucking putting two HORRIBLE teams to play in UK.

the fucking 1-15 dolphins v.s the Giants and Eli manning who are so inconsistant.

like wtf?

why give the international countries MORE reason to hate the NFL?

why not give them the Pats and Colts, Packers and Cowboys, or some game like that? pshh

01-08-08 03:00 PM

Yeah let's send the Patriots and Cowboys to other countries

lmfao

DaTrusHurtz 01-08-08 03:21 PM

i done it a few times.... depends on the team really, crowds really vary a lot, but i'd say if you have a chance to go... GO!!!

For one, as a Jags fan, think of it this way.. for every Jags fan there is in the stadium, thats 1 less patriots fan.. and 1 less fan helping the home team.

But besides that, its really fun being the "asshole" thats rooting against the team everyone else is rooting for, as long as you are still respectful and not getting into fights or nothing like that.

Also tho, depends on the final result. If you go and the Jags win, the win will be BETTER than it woulda been at a home team cuz all the fans are gonna be feelin' sorry as fuck while ur cheering. But if the Jags lose and everyone else is cheering, ur gonna feel lousy.

Still, its gonna be a great game, u should go if u can.

J. Luth 01-08-08 03:51 PM

^word man. Iunno like at same time it's like shit at home when Jags score and shti I be jumpin' up and down screaming at tv like "YEA SON!!!!" and all that shit, at game i can't do that, or otherwise have to watch out for my own safety. I been to Red Sox games and I've seen how obnoxious Boston fans are to opposing team fans. Throwing beer, food, swears, etc. I mean, maybe if it was somewhere else like Pittsburgh (I hear they one of best fans, really passionate, yet are respectful to opposing team fans) then I wouldn't mind. But since its Boston, it's like ehh lol

but we'll see
