Eternal waters

Years before

Dirty tears form tiny holes in the sand, I scream, the heat is fiery
Miscellaneous words in my head come together to form a diary
My hands stained by my child’s pain, we struggle to go south
Desperately praying for rain, just a drop to moisten my mouth
I wonder why the heavens won’t open up, when I keep pleading
my heart bleeding, please save my daughter she needs feeding
Days pass and I’m still here, only me, with surroundings infernal
I’ve lost my daughters, but I’m still praying for waters eternal…..

Now

Darkness engulfs me, I lay here awake, listening to the rain falling
In the next room, my son’s frightened, my name he begins calling
I glance out of my open window, become a witness to murky skies
Feeling depressed, I’ve been given a reminder that even god cries
I run my hand down his face, reassuring him and we then embrace
Bringing back memories of my mother, times I had tried to erase
The next morning we wake, water seeps in, flooding another house
Like a fire, except nothings burning and there’s nothing to douse
I make my way to the exit, my son in my arms but I think he’s dead
His head is floppy, desperately through the deep depths I tread
I can’t see a light, its risen right up to my neck, I want to surrender
I’ve been fighting water all my life but he’s the biggest contender…..

Their body’s drop, though even in death they’re on the same course
She tried to battle with nature, but nature is made of a greater force
When she wanted it, she prayed but sometimes it just never came
When not needed, there it was, because everything is for god to proclaim

Damn I'm sorry I couln't post..I had VE and RB tournies to do..Ahh I gots to stop doing verses at the last minute.
