You really need to start working on your backgrounds and your text.

Lay off the glow, it almost never looks good unless you lower the opacity so that it is barely noticeable. Now, your cutting is sub par, go to Layer > Matting > Defringe 1 px and that should get rid of the little parts you're missing. Your background is a gradient, you need to start brushing, using stocks, etc... Get creative.

1-it looks plain
+try adding some more color to your stuff it'll bring it out more unless its not nessesary
+add a creative side to the b/g like try some ripples / sheres n all that for your b/g or use a pic tto up the graphic make it more interesting cuz it looks boring dont bevel the text so much and dont make the shadow of the text that noticable
