Cool Edit Pro Help
 

Ayo...I am tryin to record on cool edit pro but when i record my mic don't pick up no sound....I scream into it but it don't work. I pick up -65 dBs tops. If you can help me make it work it'd be tight. I don't knokw if i need a new mic or what....help a nigga out

did u check the mic volume on your pc? Do you have the PC mic volume muted? is the mic plugged into the mic jack (not the line in jack)? These might seem like stupid questions but u never know

Yeah son iss all plugged in correct iss juss when I go to record my decibals are wayyy to low! iss pissin me off I think it might be the adaptor hit me up if you got any ideas

whatever happed to real questions about Freq. or Limters or compressing or somthing that has to do wit recordin. Im sick of coming hear and reading questions about how to plug a cable in or turn the mic on or somthing so damn simple is this crap. fuckin Idiots. and yo dogg this might not seem right but you spittin in your mic..literally..shit dried inside my mic and fucked the whole thing up couldnt hear shit from it..even if its a small amount sometimes it could do damage to a cheaper mic..i dunno lol

yeah he's right^^^^ lol, if it aint saliva dried up on it , maybe it's Kool-aid or pop or some shit...or it could be from humidity and dust, or the wires might be fucked or the jack u plug into the soundcard might be shorted...........try playing with the mic wire and the jack while you're recording , and see what happens............If not.............. Try taking your mic and shattering it by whipping it on the street........REPEATEDLY

my mic was 12.99 from radioshack straight piece-a chit,
so there wasnt really any screen to block that shit..
its a relevant issue..you need a good mic/screen/filter..
my next mic is gunna be dope ima have 100 to spend on one..
any ideas for what to get for 100$ anyone?actually its gotta be like 90..tax is a bitch
