Make it in rapping?

I'm just wondering what audio heads here are actually trying/going to try to make it in the music industry for rapping.

Because often when I'm leaving feedback I feel like I'm wasting my breath if I give advice to people from an industry perspective when they might just be rapping as a hobby and have no actual plans on taking it any further than the net.

Its just something I been thinking about because most of my feedback I give on songs is talking realistically whether or not people can mold their style into something that will make an impact (even the slightest) on the rap game.

Be realistic in this thread.. Everyone has dreams, but unless you have the practical knowledge to pull it off.. You wont get anything off the ground.

I sorta wanna know what peoples plans are for getting famous.. And hopefully we can all learn a thing or two from other peoples perspectives.. And please, if your an idiot with no opinions of your own.. Dont post in here..

Thanks..

Me....

Just a Hobby, But....If the oppertunity ever occured I would take it.

I have another career where I make plenty of money.
I rap because it is summin I enjoy doin.
Im not retarded an think Im the next big thing.

But I still keep it in the back of my head that some day in a crazy way, it could possibly take over my main career.....

But its basicly, a dream....
Not what Im relying on to enjoy life.

even if i never go sumwut mainstream...or even famous on the underground...as long as i can support my family off of rap...then ill be happy wit my life...

im tryin to make it.......

when i get this little mixtape deal off the ground...here in prolly a month or 2....i plan on making a trip to Atlanta for the weekend....and selling this mixtape on the strip where the underground mall is n shit...rap scene is pretty big there...ima prolly sell it for about 3$.....havent decided yet...ill of course sell it around my hometown...and ill make a couple quick trips to nashville to sell it.....but if the Atlanta thing is successful....i may make more trips to various cities around.....STL, where my dad stays in alabama..should get mad sales there....bunch of people know about me......but yea basically im hoping to get my mixtape out enough to where someone in the game will hear it...and possibly contact me...but if not its no big deal...as long as people are hearing me....ill be happy...
