Mic Night
The rhyme never came swiftly to me Just another 8mile night in this damn city I always dropped to the hardest degree Flowed like HIV in Africans blood, see This was me, my job, if you ever heard me plea So I could pay my rent, never let these tears bleed The club is bouncing, kids getting knocked out 2nd round, only 1 bout, what is this shit about Teens faking their age to get in and get wrecked Cause the owner doesn’t get affected, nah he collects Mistakes he don’t correct, I mean what do you expect Not once, never has this guy connected, and gained respect He’s an official hustler, and I wanted to call him down That was my crown, I wanted to be known all around It was time to engage, within these people, caged Beat starts, Dj knew how to do, he was well aged The count in, and he began to spit, how much he made And how I can barely get by, working on minimum wage He stutters and stops, looks in my eyes and sees my rage On no matter how hard he spit, I’d still be on the next page Times up, he choked this was the shit, I made him a bitch Flipped switch, it me and me on this track, from rags to rich My time to shine, pulling out magic, Mage was new nick And I began to tear, and to rip, so intense, he bit his lip Fully equipped, and I exposed this bitch, for all that he did And now I sit here, speaking in the damn past tense See, I destroyed his spirit, and his will to go on, hence He came and shattered my dreams and not to leave in suspense But would’ve came in me, was left at the scene of this He was a true G and he shot me down, and I died in these streets And if you knew me, that was my job, if you ever heard me plea… So I could live another day, and never let these tears bleed….. |

.. Corrosion noted, for my spit 'chypher' to be exploded .. Untold the bloated erroded mental verbage to be unloaded So I sit backstage, with sweaty forehead on the torn hedge Cos' my capacity is havin' me on the forefront of my store's edge - .. An hour later, what to me seemed like a sour now'n'later .. I didn't want to step onstage, I feared the crowd's behavior However favored, this cat on the Mic stand stands alone .. I have an army at my back with a fabled label to atone - .. Incountered many, dropped a few and lost my bouts .. But I never lost that yurning for that crowds unrivled shouts Untitled louts, I've been the underdog for quiet some time, But the night is mine, Ima turn this Mic around an' just Unwind! "Yo, Yo... Untamed shame encountered, but I unwound the thunders power/ Under showered, till the rain engulfed the fame & countered louder/ I never faultered, I spit my mind with liquid sulfur till it was powder/ Then I lit my coward-ice spirit on fire with unholy salvaged talents/ - Malice, I almost lost the freestyle thier/ However clever & rare, the unsung metaphysical split the air ../" .. He spit's. I sit & try to maintain the same leveled stare .. However unfair the tourny was I tend to revel in that glare I love the feeling, that reeling twist in my stomach cen-tor The very splinter left unhealed speals my utmost common mentor - ..
