I reccomend Reason 2.5,Fruity loops Pro, and Cool edit for chopping.

There is tons of shit out there, just keep your eyes open.

and for beat making i recommend FlStudio 4.0, Sound Forge 7.0 for mastering, and Acid Pro 4.0 for chopping. Also I like to use flstudio as an acid pro plugin as well.
