Battles up Monday - Check In by Wednesday - Drop by Friday - Votes by Sunday
No line limit and the battler with most votes by Sunday night is the winner. If this is a topical battle, write a topical and not a poetic drop and the same is vice a versa. Extensions must be asked for by Thursday night by pming any of the mods (Drakel or Drama Queen). No extensions will be given if asked on Friday night. Extensions are only given till Sunday night at the most. If you dont ask for an extention, and drop whenever you feel like it you will be disqualified. Do not abuse extentions, they are not to be used if you're just too lazy to drop within the confines of the circumstances. Leave reasonable explanation for your absense. If the League notices you are a slacker due to this nature you will be banned for being out-right slothfully callous. Don't ho-show because you will be banned if you do it twice. We can understand you cannot drop due to certain circumstances but if this happens a second time, you're banned from the league for 2 weeks. If you signed up for both leagues and you no-show in one league twice, you will be banned in both leagues! Try to limit the freeposts, we will have a chat/beef thread for that. ~A Short but dangerous journey begins~ As I walk through the mist of the Night In The Street I look above to see bats in Flight And Wings Beat Emerging from the late evenings mist, Im at the Cemetary Gate I have visions and hear sounds of an old Seminarys Wake ~The old gate slowly opens by itself~ My feet patter against the walk way as I move between Headstones I can smell the stentch of rotting corpses and the sounds of Deadmoans So Lets Go, moving throughout the clouding Fog In The Night As I hear pounding noises I begin Jogging In Fright ~Getting the chills, my hairs stands up on my back~ I finally get to the mauselems gate, grasp the handle and Open It My mind is shrouded death, I cant believe this is something Im Coping With I get to a wooden coffin, covered in maggots and ingraved with the image Of A Bat I open the door and stick my hand inside but only to find a Glove Of Rats ~Sweat is dripping from my face with every breathe I take~ As I uncover the mice and what not I see the body of a vampire Underneathe At this point I can hear my heart beat and sounds of my own Thunder Breathes I take the Rusty Cross from my side and Raise It Slowly Penetrate through his chest bones while Taking It Slowly ~Black blood pours out the vampires chest~ I can hear his weak bones crack from the crosses Metal Point The sounds of snapping cartilidge and the breaking of Brittle Joints The cross meets the heart and blood Squirts From The Chest Organs pour out leaving his black Shirt To A Mess ~The vampires life is no more~ I quickly pull the rusty cross out and fire Blazes From The Chest As I hold my hand high and the cross Raises, Im The Best Nobody was able to take him alive until I Caught Him Sleeping And the cross stabbed his heart, death Shot Him Deeply ~Fog covers the scene~ |
The Rusty Cross Dark, obscure room, crimson phantoms, announcers of doom No light or savior in rotten place with no more flowers in bloom Screams of silent remorse come too late for my buried corpse Cruelly controlled by a higher force that holds all evil’s source For it’s Lucifer himself who chose to take over my entire being So suddenly overpowered which is imprisoning yet also freeing Once led by Lord’s power but I could never please our Father Trying my utmost yet never succeeding so why even bother? Obeying to His every command, still looked upon as outcast Seeking for that new thrill but the contrast happened too fast Converted from good to evil at such high pace I could not rest Where did the time go I felt blessed along my religious quest? Laying still on the grimy soil, waiting for someone to save me Hearing a deep voice from skies above: I shall deprave thee As an abrupt, unexpected toss of fate contemplating my loss For I do not see anymore light in shadow of this rusty cross And so I take cause of my demise of the grey painted wall In a last desperate attempt to end this all I now rapidly fall On it, piercing right through my heart tearing myself apart Ready for another start as my old soul now would depart |

Nice shit man...Feeling your story...It was fun to read, and every other line made me want to keep going...Very good imagery and emotion put into this piece...Vocab was good, but could be better, but Ovrall, I was feeling it. DQ: Iight good piece here, imagery was decent, emotion was there, vocab was fine, but it wasnt all that interesting...I dunno, I just wasnt feeling your story...Something about it just seemed really boring, so I am giving my vote to {Propain} V/ {Propain} |
