i have friend who can get me anything i want for computers...

so wat is the best audio production program (all ready have cool edit pro) one that costs a lot ..maybe ill get it for free cus he has connections

no you can't. the best programs have USB hardware keys (called a Dongle) that they need to run, and all the bootleg software in the world can't bypass that.



but the list of "best programs" (not for "producing" liek you asked) are 1: Logic 2: Pro tools 3:Cubase (arguably) 4:everything else other than logic and protools.

and by "best" i mean most capable. Logic is the PhotoShop of recording software and if you can dream it, you can do it in logic. of course, the "best" one is the one you can use the fullest and doesn't get in your way cuzzzz.....if the greatest program, gets in your way...then it's not the best, then is it?

you dont need any extra hardware to run logic?

I know people buy those m-boxes and shit for the pro tools, i don't know whats going on with that really
not that i would bother getting logic when I can't even use the cubase I do have

no, you don't need any extra crap for logic. only protools needs that. and the mental roadblock you hit is exactly why i don't reccomend people to use fooledit. its a toy. it's so limited that you never learn the shit you need to learn to make you competent.
logic and cubase dont need any hardware crutches. but that's recording programs.

but nothing mentioned here is for "producing". primarily recording.
