if u dont believe in God, what do you believe in?

thats it, if u dont believe in God, what do you believe in? if u don't believe sin is bad what are you really doing with your life, you're just makin things more difficult for other people or your self, cuz every time u sin its affecting someone in a negitive way. and if u don't believe that its affecting you. :shoot:

^^^^^^^word, thats why jesus said if your not with me your against me..knew that already but coinsadenly(spell check) i read that a few hours ago when i was reading my bible

actually the belief in God should not effect how you see "sin"
in essence sinning is doing wrong, its just giving it a new name.

if i don't believe in sin it doesn't meant i don't believe that killing people is wrong, i just don't give "wrongs" the name sin.

if you don't believe "sin" is bad then your probably a sociopath or along those lines because if you believe the world is millions of years old bad choices were here before it was given the name sin.

at least thats how i see "sin" pertaining to believing in God.

to answer the other question of what do you believe in.

why must i have a belief in anything other than myself?
IMHO I believe that there is a God but I don't have to get down on my hands an knees to be a believer.

God will not judge me for my actions or my sins, he will judge me for my person an for what I hold true to me.

_Talksic_ 10-07-09 12:53 PM

no he will judge u for your sins....................

Young Kidd (LM) 10-07-09 02:02 PM

i said that too broadly.

Judgment based on the broad scope of "sins" is ludicrous.

What I meant is God WILL NOT judge me based on my sins overall, I think a real judgment would be based on the person themselves. Not because of decisions they made, if God is all knowing he wouldn't need Sins to judge a person. He would know.

If you look at it from that standpoint sins are trivial, we know whats wrong and right and we follow our own paths.

If you believe in Predetermined Destiny then God already knows who's going to heaven an hell right?

I think the basis for providing free will was for questions such as the ones we ask today but to a traditional christian questioning anything about God would determine I'm going to hell.
I don't believe that, I'm not as narrow minded to believe that God gave us freewill/free thought to not use.

Christianity is funny, the amount of contradictions that it shows cracks me up

Religion And Politics Is Something You Should Not Bring Up It's Always Going To Stir Something Up....

Young Kidd (LM) 10-07-09 07:45 PM

^religion more than politics. lol.

JTR 10-08-09 06:29 PM

politics + religion = semantics.

Figure it out

Dufflebag Boy 10-09-09 07:04 PM

i dont believe in god i just believe in myself...religion contradicts itself and is just another way to manipulate peoples lifestyles dictating their thoughts and actions. theres a scientific explanation to everything and as time goes by what seemed to be an "act of god" was simply another question waiting for an answer. god is just an excuse for things we dont understand. a false fantasy people believe in to help not feel alone.

the existance of god breaks the rules of possibilty and if he did exist he would be a complete hypacrite. if u believe in god u might as well believe in radioactive spiders and kryptonite.

my bad for repeating what some people already said (in almost exact words) didnt really read much farther than the 1st 2 posts

^^I know we all have our own opinions, but I think you're wrong man. There was a time where I thought of it the same way, but I opened my mind. Look, God doesn't have to be a mainstream image that religions have cut him out to be. God can be anything, you talked about science and what we don't know? Maybe science and the knowledge that we don't posses is what Gods essence actually conists of. Personally I believe God is everything, the entire universe. Everything is part of God and God is a part of everything and together we form one giant and incredible entity. There are things that go beyond the capacity of what the limits of human science can comprehend. You can live on a giant rock that's actually a living organism floating around in the middle of nothingness held in place by some shit called gravity and its attraction to the sun and you can be a small spore of this one giant organism and consider yourself an individual when in reality you don't make a difference to the organism as a whole and you can convince yourself all you want that this is some ordinary and not so complex shit just because you've been raised in it your entire life and you've learned to understand it and consider it as "ordinary". But you go in a rocket ship and take a trip into outerspace and look down at us from up there and you'll realise how deep this all really is... God is out there, and God does exist, and it is a greater power. What God is? I don't know and I couldn't tell you for sure, God is whatever you make him to be. It's up to you to decide what God is to you..
