I can get it in NZ for 500, I allready have a M audio which a got for 500!! Hence the reason i dont want to go paying another 5 hundy for it.

Pro Tools is a waste of time unless unless you have HD. Pro tools 7 LE is pretty wack unless you have a nice computer. Get cubase man.

Im doing a diploma in audio engineering starting next month, apparently there software of choice is protools. So i wanted to fuck with it and get a general idea before starting.

I've been earning my fine arts degree in audio production for 6 months now. I've been learning a lot and unless you have certain things to go with pro-tools you know the right accessories than it's a waste of money. Cubase has a lot of plug-ins STOCK that pro-tools makes you pay cake for. So you can check um both out. Pro-Tools is really nothing special unless it's HD.
