why can't rockers get shot in the back of their fuckin head

how come i only hear about recent rappers getting their fuckin head blown off. that shits ridiculous. Niggaz in the hood are apprently getting jelous of these rappers and shooting them up. while the manager and record labels (white person who probably doesnt give a shit about hiphop) laughs at them and takes all their money. someone please go shoot maralyn manson in his face. please. No i am not racist but think about it.

hiphop is the biggest thing in music right now. So where theirs money. the white person is usually ontop of it all. in a way i consider industrial niggaz slaves. and thats word. check exodus by black ice...its the introduction for the fabolous album "real talk" thats my opinion on it all..you don't see rockers shot at all. their having a damn good time. and many times i hear menz sayin we gotta get out the ghetto and shit...blastin someone thats trying to help the cause of ya'll being in the ghetto and trying to help you out of there and open up passages..is not the way to do it

L. Veracity 04-12-06 09:45 AM

because they're smart enough to not hang out in the 'hood once they get some got dayum money, lmao...they don't have abandoment issues about leaving the hick town they used to live in once they leave and move out to Hollywood, they're happy where they are and accomplishing what they've accomplished...white people don't make each other feel guilty once they've gained something, only black people call people that get outtah the 'hood "sell out"s and "traitors"...that's the difference...any questions?...

P.S. the only rockers that get shot in the head are the ones that shoot THEMSELVES in the head...example: Kurt Cobain

say I'm racist against my own people, whatever...truth is truth

K.ontroverz.Y 04-12-06 09:49 AM

sort of. i only hear of that shit in the movies though. or rappers that don't come back to the hood..id come backt o the hood i woldnt forget where i came from but i wouldnt shoot dice and hustle and rob. i wouldn't have to no more..

but considering im not famous yet....thats what i do now

Just back in '04, some random ass guy walked on stage at a Pantera concert and shot guitarist Dimebag Darryl like 4 times from point blank. He then shot 3 other people in the crowd, wounding them, and I think he tried to escape after that.

L. Veracity 04-12-06 09:51 AM

oh and another thing, rockers don't generally perpetuate, glorify and glamourize violence in their songs, rap artists do...everybody talkin' about being gangsta this, gangsta that, basically fighint on records about who had it worse than whom...you see rock artists fighting over who grew up poorer and in a worse situation than the next?...HELL NO!!

Artik Phrost 04-12-06 10:04 AM

LV....

...but representing a scene of drug use.. suicide.. massive killing.. makes it 'OK' for them(rock artist) ? and i think they do have abandonment issues... cuz they still bring the trash to hollywood..

ARTIK...
yes, rock artists glamourize drug use and things but honestly, that was more-so in the past, not current times...you don't generally hear rock stations playing those kinds of songs on the radio...right now, rap is obsessed with violence, I hope rappers wake up from this "phase" and stop causing their own demise because of the things they say in their raps...maybe one day they'll realize (like the rockers) that they're withering away and dying off because of what they "embody" to other people...most rock groups out now are sober as far as hard drugs, they liQuor up but that's it...most rockers are actually decent role models to kids these days, example: Travis Barker, the drummer from Blink182...what rapper can you honestly say is a decent role model to kids, besides maybe LL Cool J?...and you can't even really say him cuz he hasn't come out recently off the top as a new artist...rappers like Young Jeezy wanna talk about how they (ex. the Snowman) represent the "hood struggle" and shit, but all they're doing is representing the drug game...and kids out there eat this shit up like candy, I can't agree with that...kids idolize and want to embody what they see, either parents need to take a bigger role and teach their kids it's just a persona that the record label is marketing, or artists need to take responsibility for the fans they have, and speak about things that are positive

LV...

you really havent heard much with underground rock, have you?.. Just over the weekend, A few local bands were playing.. and yea, the content was harsh....

another example:
theres a track on NERD's album 'attack of the clones'.. called fuck and spend

^and thats good for kids?

i dont know bout what they play in texas.. but here on the radio... the content revolves heavily around jewlry and women... and yea, you do have those that do, rap about the struggles of the hood, violence..drugs..gangs.... but can you blame them? They have reason to say what they say...THEY BEEN THERE... its all about credibilty... as well as image..
and you cant just blame the artists.. cuz kids look up to the local drug dealers too.. i've lived there... i know a thing or two
whereas, these harsh ass rock artists.. are promoting a fucking problem...

and as for that role model... stuff.. man, thats just giving parents reason not to do their damn job...

and Rock Artists are REALLY good role models?

hmmm, lets look at exhibit A: ACTUAL QUOTE..

"My favorite band are nirvana partly because of there drug abuse content but they also wrote kick ass songs which make me feel instingtive and persuaded to do more things with my life like learning a instrument or joining a band. "

and there are Rap artists that ARE positive

Ebircs 04-12-06 10:54 AM

^^yeah he got handled in an awful way after that, the video's online.

but I agree with Kon AND LV cuz you're both right. Rap -->> IN THE MEDIA as a whole is very negative music, always talking about violence, objectifying or belittling women, promoting being a drug dealer - you can't be surprised when all the negative things you talk about start coming to you.

Rock (in all its forms) discusses a whole seperate aspect of life. Their fans have a diffrent mentality and so does their music.

LV, you're ABSOLUTELY right, blacks do paint situations to make you feel guilty about success. Everyone agrees that moving out of the hood is a good thing, yet RARELY you find someone in the hood who wants you to leave.

The hood is Hell. And mysery loves company.

L. Veracity 04-12-06 10:56 AM

be FUCKing serious...there's always gonna be some dumb ass kids that say music influenced them to do this and tht...music is one of the most influential things to the human psyche, that's why doctors say it's good for babies to listen to classical music, it expands their mind...don't you think that other music would do the opposite as well?...

in the rap industry there is NO such thing as credibility...1st off, most artists don't even write their own lyrics, 2nd off, a rap artist is not who they are, it's a PERSONA being sold to the public, people don't actually DO most of the things in their raps...which loses their "credibility" right off the top

Nirvana WAS a great band, but not because of the reasons that idiot you quoted said, if you knew anything about the direction of rock music when they came out, you'd understand why they are considered among the rock greats

people idiolize drug dealers because they see them with all the flashy shit and nyce things, wearin' iced out chains and ridin' through the 'hood in a nyce car andshit, the only reason they don't their shit taken is because they know what will happen to 'em if they do...rappers do the SAME thing in their videos, except 80% of the shit in their video is rented, but the average teenager doesn't know that...when's the last time you seen a rock artist in their video showing off their cars an shit?...Travis Barker got a sikk ass house with madd cars, the only time you ever see him showing that shit off is on CRIBS, where the show is actually ABOUT that...rappers glorify and personify things that are all "illusion" and based on the "persona" they're trying to sell, they don't car about fans, it's all about the almighty dollar...if someone you know is idiolizing a drug dealer, I feel sorry for them and whoever else is around 'em when they're growing up cuz that shit's an illusion too

K.ontroverz.Y 04-12-06 01:49 PM

never have i ever heard a kid say music influenced them. Because i see Fabolous with diamonds on his neck. doesn't mean im going to buy a 50,000 chain. you know. It's more of a common sense thing. You can't blaim the stupid mistakes humans do on Rap. Rapping is only verbal and we do have the freedom of speach. but how can a stranger you've only heard about in songs make you kill someone or do drugs?

right, it cant

and the reason why I myself and rappers brag about jewelery and shit is because shit i never had that before and its more of a blessing naww meanz. how many people you see rockin 100,000 grand on their neck? right so it's more of a "yeah i'm making money, im successful" then..."fuck you, im rich, your not" you know what i mean so really you can't say rappers bring you down. and about the drugs and violence. yo that really happened.

picture it like this. Your living in the hood. all your homies get shot you have no dad and you have to rob to survive a day. wouldn't you think once your famous you would want the whole world to know what you've been through. and what the system have done to us. poverty and less fortunate characters. it's more of. HEY i made it through hell this is what i had to go through to get here. then..."yeah i;ll kill you because im from the hood"
