yea Acid pro does take up a lot more space ay, well if you have the space i guess it's okay but i don't really have the space. to much porn:) |
the biggest deal is it records in 24 bit mono, where as cool edit only goes up to 16....big diff in quality....it accepts vst's as well as direct-x, cool edit only does the ladder, oh and its made by sony so prolly overall just functions better....i just dled version 6.0 so ill fuck around with it see how easy it is, hopefully it will make my shit a lil better, who knows....

scratch that download didnt work....anyone got it...haha

I tried cool edit for like a minute and it sucked to me, so I've been using Acid since 3.0
Everyone uses Cool Edit cause it's easy, well to me, that's a cop out from learning how to be better and do better, and if this is more than a hobby to you, you should stop using Cool Edit and move on to something more intricate. Acid isn't the best, but it's features and quality are far more consistent than Cool Edit. I'd recomend any of Sony's music software for someone looking to step up. |

Alot of people dont have the hardware to run Pro Tools, and yes Acid is more professional than Cool Edit. Pro Tools isn't even the best software, it's just the industry standard. |
