I seriously suggest everyone who ventures into this thread, religious or not, pick up a copy of this book..

Honestly..

I've always argued against religion....But for fuck sake I had no idea how pathetically retarded it actually was untill I started reading this..

My respect levels are now so low for christians and virtually any form of theological academic that I would openly laugh in their face and push anything that comes out of their mouth into the 'smile and ignor' department..

And it aint a matter of subjective beliefs.. Its a matter of glaring obserdity shown by the very core elements of your belief system. I seriously suggest, especially you religious folk out there..........get a load of what I'm reading n I doubt you will ever look at religion with a straight face again.

God and religion in what sense? Does it focus mainly on religions like Christianity/Judaism/Islam?

I've heard about it a long time ago. I think its a joke.

Then you should at least realize that you are just as at fault as people against religion are.

You think people against religion are a joke, others think religious people are a joke. Nobody has more credibility than anybody else.

Thats why I stopped caring. I do what I DO! and believe what I believe. If someoen hates me for it screw them

What about people that want to change your beliefs because they love you?

"I know what's best for me, I don't care what anyone else says, I'm going to do what I want to do and believe what I believe, nobody out there knows better than I do, my father is annoying and tries to boss me around but screw him, he doesn't know anything." Actually the father probably does know better. That's just a metaphor, it could be anyone who knows better than you do. So instead of being so stubborn, you should keep an open mind to what people have to say.
