After the Shots Fired...

After the shots fired...

I just lay and reminice with quivering lips, amiss
Not if I would of missed but why I didn't take the risk
This shit? Is it worth it? Cuz now i'm feeling worthless
I'm told I did the right thing...
... but have no grounds to support it
My mind contorts with, notions and different choices
Which are all blurred out by my consciences many voices
But I rejoice in my sorrow, because my souls still alive
because any joy I can conjure up to my mind is a bribe
So maybe my mind just might end up letting me survive
And not dive into the truth I'm just trying to hide

With the judgement I lack, I struggle to keep my head intact
Knowing that after the shot's fired, I can never get it back

It sucks having a gun, because it comes with responsibility
And it's that same thing that can haunt, and its killing me
Wanted for three murders, I had the fucking guy
Standing right in front of me, looking me in the eye
Almost as if to say "Im READY TO DIE!"...
... but it's a lie ...
So at gunpoint I scrample for thought, but heres the plight
I have the Green light to kill, but do I read him his rights?

With the judgement I lack, I struggle to keep my head intact
Knowing that after the shot's fired, I can never get it back

But heres the truth, the moment I saw him I checked my eyes
And confirmed to myself it was someone I recognized
someone I couldn't despise, so instead I stood speechless
You might say I'm feeble, but how would you meet this?
So as I took no action, the crook got to actin
Whipped the heat out quick and I saw it flashin
My reaction? A disaster, my sorrow's got me mad
Cuz now i'm a failure as a cop, as well as a dad
And after that? I couldn't live with myself.. so I stopped
And I put the gun to my temple and I finished the job

I was digging it, I'll agree that the 2nd verse was a little weaker but still was able to tell the story, the 3rd was dope but kinda ended quick, but the first verse I can't find how it really ties into the event, kinda sounds like the cop allready killed someone and he feels bad about it, then you jump into a murder who turns out to be his son, I dno't know, but was still pretty dope, I enjoyed it.

peace

1st verse was right after he was shot

2nd verse was before he got shot

3rd was after the first.

Appreciate the feed fellahs.

The chronological verses are fuckin ill

make some beats and drop a song

though the 2nd verse didn't match up quite well, you can fix that shit anyways, its nasty

keep it up, Alpha

hehh.. glad I took the time out for this alpha. pretty dope set of verses, I like what you did with the order of it. I knew what you we're doing with the second and third. I didn't catch it off the riff. starts off dead on the floor lol, sick. and the whole inner message i was feeling too, he was a cop yeah, but your rite with a gun comes responsibility, and you better take initiative when the time comes or you could end up like this guy. nice shit alpha.
