Who is the greatest rapper?

Who do you think is the greatest rapper?

I would have to say DMX or Tupac.

MC Virtuoso 07-05-05 03:01 AM

you!!!!!.......

Tupac is a great leader and spokesperson for black culture.
His music was legendry and I've heard very few people who could match some of the emotions he touched on. Just because he dont have 1000's of multis and punchlines people think he was weak as a rapper.

Those people need to go take a lesson on making music and realise that theres more to skill than punchlines and multis.

I say tupac is currantly the best rapper who did it.

Easy was a gangsta who rapped to make legit money. He was part of what made hip hop popular, but nowhere near the greatest rapper.

Threads like these are played...

But I would agree that Tupac is amazing...

But I would say a good talent to have is enternaining absolutely everybody. Eminem can do it...He can have a nice club banger, then go into a diss track, and then into an emotional song...and no I don't ride Eminem's dick...I just respect him for being able to perform in so many styles. You take other artists for example...50 Cent...same shit over and over again...

There is a lot of talent out there...so really I can't say that anybody is the best.

There are too many categories to have 1 greatest rapper
what are u basing this on
lyrics
delivery
flow
sales
humor

Eminem fills all those catagorys perfectly. But pac is still on a higher level than Em. He created a legacy, dude was trying to bring forward new ways of thinking about old problems.

It goes beyond just rapping, its what he used his career and fame for.

Sixth Sense 07-05-05 08:06 AM

i would have to say pac all the way he was a poet and his raps meant sumthin.......

Dizzee Rascal 07-05-05 08:09 AM

Exactly eminem fits all those categories BUT he isnt the best in all those catagories
hell i wudnt put him best as any perhaps maybe up there in humour

lyrics - common
delivery - Biggy i love his voice

*Listens to tupac: Untill the end of time*

Man I remember when this album came out, I was on the road and I remember just kicking back listening to this pac song in my headphones closing my eyes just forgetting everything going on around me. This is real music, forget all the punchlines and multi syllable bullshit they cram in these days. For real. You cant beat this.
