Why do we have Easter Egg's? What are they supposed to represent? Anyone know that?

And what's the meaning behind the saying 'Don't Look A Gift Horse In The Mouth' ?! That one's often puzzled me.

I think that one's took from Victorian times, when Top hat's were in fashion, when they's say 'Good Morning' - they'd tilt their top hats. That's where i heard that one came from.
