I created a world where everything's perfect

Can I look in your eyes? Can I grasp your thoughts?

A summer of countless wonders, nothing was bought
I didn't win your love, it's a gift that you brought

Do you still love me? Are you still there?
I swear I do, and I still care
I'm still here, and it doesn't seem fair
That we go through so much, and lose the same share

I can see the sunshine, but no sun in sight
Fightin through clouds, a shadow of night
We were alive, we were just right

But now that you're gone, I've got nothing to write......

wow- I'm not usually one for poems about love or hate or ambivelance towards relationships.. But i gotta say that I enjoyed this peice for the essence of the uncertainty of love. Props.

well, i am interested in poems of all kinds and find that love is possibly one of the most difficult things to write about because it is all that is and all that isn't and all the crap in between. I really do like ur style riccard, i appreciate the way u approached the topic as it shows how love isn't black or white. It's a phase everyone either goes thru in a relationship or goes thur after it, and i like how u mixed the end of the relationship with the end of the poem, and u having nothing left to write. It's ominous. thumbs up from me.
