Love, Hugs, & Drugs(Quick Poem)
 

Don't know if I need drugs or a hug
I just need a high
Cuz I'm kissing the rug
when I try to embrace the sky
The hugs keep me warm
While drugs help me cope with the cold
One helps me through the storm
While the other helps me not to fold
Try to be there for another
One close like a sister or brother
while the next is far like my mother
Had a lot of one but not much of the other
Still feel that cool breeze while my mind is at ease
So even though its still raining
Through all these clouds I feel peace
Yet my soul stills wants embrace
My heart race at rugged pace
When my eyes run towards her face
Yet her arms are too far
I can no longer see her
Cuz the smoke that used to hide my scars
Now hides my beloved star
Till I no longer can see the sky
So i just continue to hug these drugs
Since i cant hug the love of my life
Don't know what I need more
The drugs or her love
