How convenient for me, that the first ever World Champion Poetry Reading competition is coming to be held about ten minutes from my house. I was talking to some guy, who hosted a poetry contest I had entered, and we were discussing me submitting my new poem 'The Iron Pile' to a magazine contest, but that's beyond me, apparently. But, I am good for

PERFORMANCE POETRY

Holy shit, just google up 'poetry slam in [your city]' and you can find a shitload of places to recite poetry, and some of the audio topical heads in here would have an easy time of taking care of these amateur poets talking about their 'deep feelings' and 'when my cat died, alas, depart thou cat, Snowball the blessed'.

We need to rise up and show these amateur poet where the money is = being dope.

Anyway, I might not enter this contest, because I'm not sure of the date but I'm sure it's really soon and I have to memorize poems, and probably attend a few places to get a general idea of what kind of people I'll be thrashing.
