Dead Prez- ill? or whack? smart? or stupid?, Racist?
 

I have not listened to that much Dead Prez, but i have been checking their tracks lately, and i notice that their older stuff is real awesome and political while there new shit has this whack commercial type feel where their views arnt shown as much.
One thing i can't understand is their racism, i feel what they fight for but how can a white person enjoy it when they contantly repeat violent things they will do to whites? I think they may just beleive no white people are poor or have struggles, i'm not sure. This makes me unsure is they are actually smart or just retarded,when millions of whites AND blacks would agree with what they say and yet they still fill their music with this boring predictable "cracked a whitey in his face" bullshit.

So my question is, what do you think of these guys?

^^^ i'm white and enjoy alot of their shit......i don't like there new stuff though, plus i find it hard to enjoy music that disses white people on most of the tracks. As a wise man once said "The ultimate sin is too be ashamed of your skin";)

Dead Prez are ill, some people are just to thick to understand the messages their putting across in their songs and interpret them as racists rather than as people whho arent afraid to look at whats wrong in the world

Yeah that do that really well, its amazing that they were saying all this before 9/11, but its when they say things about beating the shit out of white delivery boys, that kind of puts me off the music...i don't think beating the shit out of delivery boys will help the world get better.
