Sound Cards?
 

What exactly is it, and how does it effect the quality of my music.. does it make it sound more crisp, more loud, what? i'm a novice, i don't know, someone fill me in.. Will it make my final product a lot better with a good sound card? and how do i use them also, do i just plug it in, and let it process the sounds?

actually when i bought my computer this summer i had it made for audio recording basically i gotta soundblaster audigy 2 zs soundcard in it... 299.00 dollars i dont even know what makes it better but my audio quality is fuckin good so i'm happy

that's the particular sound card that i wanted too actually.. and it doesn't cost that much, that's a ripp off.. i seen it for 179.99..

and yo shit does sound good.. can you breifly tell me the process you use to make songs?

yeah but i got the platinum editoin cuz the one with about a hundred inputs in the front like midi and firewire rca optical and shit like that welll ok here is my song making process

turn on my pre amp make sure the input level isnt to high give my mic a sec to warm up find a beat load it on cool it edit pro record my shit ... do noise reduction and hiss reduction and i do pop reduction makes it sound muffled save it as mixdown but in the properties of my cool edit pro everything is run through my soundcard

oh okay, i get you.. one more question, what's a pre amp?

pre amp somthing that turns the microphone wave into i line level wave incase you have acondenser mic so you can power the condenser mic and use it as a regular mic input

oh, well i have a dynamic mic. and i use microphone modeler to make it sound like a condender, so i'm st8..
