Debate Forum
As a sub-forum in Serious Intellectual Discussion
Run debates like battles, w/votes, check-ins, etc. Who ever sets up the debate will set the issue, positions to be taken on the issue, amount of time to accept the battle, amount of time to respond, and the number of responses per person After the debate, voters give EXPLAINED votes (not their opinions on the issue) about who won the debate just an idea... it would prolly be at least as popular as graphics battles |
i don't really get this. elaborate please..
|
people pick an issue, argue about it, and voters vote on who won
"responses" are arguments/ideas/counter-arguments for example: one debater gives their argument, the next responds countering that and/or giving their own argument this continues for the specified number of responses, ending with a concluding statement by each debater i hope that was helpful |
oh yeah i get you. good idea..
|
i see what your saying, but with rv's lack of maturity it wouldnt work.
realisticly theres onyl abotu 20 cats with enought maturity to debate on a topic. the rest will end up beefing and making internet threats. i couldnt see this being successfull on rv..yet... |
Just do it in Cerebral Approach.
|
sure i'd be down.....but i'd get the most hate votes for using people lol

i totally agree, but maybe something like this would attract more mature people to RV. anyways, 20 isnt that bad (compare it to graphical battles) |
yea tru dat......think it shuld go on......
|
just give it a trial run at first
if it takes then cool..........if not we can scrap it and no harm is done |
Sounds Ok to me...
|
this is gettin a lot more support than i thought it would, especially considering that not too many people actually read the suggestions...
i bet there's enough support to start it (not just from the people who've posted support, i'm countin on a few more people joinin when the forum's made) so how exactly does this become an actual forum? |
