.. Why are you all afraid to speak your god damn mind's?!

When I was a newbie here .. cat's would be saying off the wall type shit to everybody .. from respected heads to the noobies ..
Even if they didnt fully mean it, they weren't afraid to say shit .. thats what kept it interesting .. thats what kept this shit entertaining .. the two kids would beef, then battle it out and both had something to prove .. that's what gave the battle's an edge if you will .. something to make you want to go read it.

Now, all of you just dick ride the same god damn people and be all like "Yo, such and such is dope .. this and that crew is ill .. some kid has a 895675786-20 record, he's the site's best .. their dope man, i never seen any of their shit, but they got dope rep, so yo .. its all about them"

Let me be the first to say it .. ive had enough of the bullshit going on .. I just checked out Elite and Elevated, and without naming names .. some of the battle's in there, the kid's are voting based on their reputation here or their record's here .. not on who actually won. Their not voting on the better verse, their voting on the popular names .. the RB reputation .. the battle record.

And that i said about you should all speak your mind shit is truth .. especially in the League's and Tourney's .. kids are afraid to vote for someone if the other person is getting all the votes, rather than be like .. "I'd go against the grain on this one .. if they see someone is winning, they'll vote for them just to get it over with. How can you be scared to voice your opinion over the internet? You don't have to get on with everyone here, so why the fuck do some of you feel the need to fit in and be accepted by the older member's?

Speak your fucking mind's. You'd get a LOT more respect than you do by riding the older head's nuts just to fit in on the board.

Its Called the: "The High School Effect"

It's not like it sounds .. The high school effect is simple to explain. In our old RB, shit talking came naturally .. due to the fact that most emcee's then were SOLO. Thus: we talked shit till we battled and the shit talk simmered down between those opponents.

Nowadays no-one can stand solo and say "I'm better then You and if you Doubt it then Lets Battle" .. Everyone wants to be a part of the 'in' crowd of RB .. just like in high school .. Hence the name.

The worst part is that Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder.. There are soooooooo many member's with this "High School Effect" that SKILL no longer FULLY matters in battles .. Your name does, Your post count does .. your board reputation does, and i reckon to a certain extent - your crew membership does too.

^ I realise some peeps will try to deny this fact, but it's seen and complained about almost everyday here .. from the LLL forum to Frontlines .. everywhere.

This coming from the man who "retired" from writing @ Rapbattles to pursue the ever-talented & evidently unbiased topical league @ RM. . There isn't a way to force somebody to, as you so delicately put it, "speak their minds." It's an unsalvageable factor of online writing which should force you to write that much better, rather than pondering the "if's & but's."

meh... I somewhat agree though i must say i have never been one of those... I have not tried out to be in a battle crew for reasons that i never really liked all the kids in them... i had always spoke to and against older people then me... which resulted in sonnings... i have never voted for who everyone votes for and that resulted in being called a DR and also i remember when i was a n00b Chrit challanged me for slips cuz i thought some other guy beat him... so basically what im saying is agree with Cam about some of these morons that do do this...though i was never one of them... RB has enough members already so i think it should get harder to register here or something

In one word, yes. And i won't write a piece specifically for here again .. that's my choice. I didnt go to the rest of RB and say .. oh, follow me. I didnt wait for a shitload of other people to say they were going to post there and then leave, i went there because i wanted to. It's my choice.
