...you use a quote from a track in your verse but you give the original artist credit by letting everyone know that you used so and so's line from so and so's song...?

Basically, is it considered biting if you give the artist the credit and let everyone know that you are using someone elses lyrics for 1 quote...

if you use a authors piece and you dont give him credit...thats plagiarism lol but if you give him credit its all good so the answer to your question is no its not biting

Biting is basically where you copy shit and say it's your own...

yea it aint really biting if u give credit. but i think that should only account for audio on this site. cause its pointless to use it in text.

depends on how often it's done and how ya do it... i've reworded some shyt to fit in my rhymes or shared an idea that i got from another line... basically i just flip it in an original way.... if somebody ask how i came up with a certain line i'll tell 'em... but straight up biting would be like homie said... using the shyt word for word and claiming it as ya own... that's some bullshyt

i suppose if u use it in audio and credit the artist it aint biting cuz u tellin everyone who's line it is....................but in text it is even if u do give credit to the artist, cuz in text u shud really be comin up wit ure own shit.....if u can't do that then u shud just not do text......................

naw its not biting if ur like bla bla bla... like my nigga biggie or somethin like that, then its not biting. basically, if u use a line and then do as much as mention the author afterword then i wouldnt consider it biting. but if u in a battle wit somebody then its innapropriate
