ok i was just lookin up my name on google and i came across these sites...i have no idea who made the sites, how my cd got on the sites but someone is selling my 2nd ep 'Monotheistic' for 39 cents a song (total $4.29)...i released the ep as a free download on the internet (just as i did with Get Professional Help, my new one) and this happens....all they don't have is the front cover...Theres about 6 or 7 of these sites and they all have the same layout and look, cept diffrent URL names... heres 2 of the sites

I can't believe it...anyone who has a cd done might wanna run a search on their name to see if they are being ripped off too....its crazy

Well thats the thing, i don't think there is anything i can do about it since all the sites are based in Russia...russian copywrite laws are diffrent and the sites protected under russian law. And that sucks too because theres like 7 or 8 of these sites with my cd for sell on them...its crazy

yea its called google hacking even though you dont really hack, you can type a certain string with an album or song name and it'll get you everything related to that and it doesnt have to be mainstream with the type of code you type it brings up underground all that type of shit

what???....i thought the point of a search engine is to type in a certain word or words and it bring up everything related...but thats not the point, the point is someone is selling my cd thats not me...

^nah but i mean like you can type shit that'll narrow it down to sites that let you download the actual songs and shit like that

Unless you legally copyrighted your material (aka paid the government for your hard work), there is no way of legally winning money. You have copyrights as soon as you posted the album, due to the laws, which can require them to take the CD off their website (I believe), but you cannot take them to court for their profits.

Also, if the CD was made in America, then the copyright laws are the American laws. It does not matter what country it is in.
