technology vs people
 

i was just thinking bout shit and i came to a conclusion. if u think bout it technology handicaps people because we rely too much on technology, computers, cars, cell phones, gps's, etc. take away todays technology and the human race would be helpless. as technology leaps forward people take a big step back. sure it helps us alot but we wouldnt know what to do if it dissapeared. without being able to google or call someone for help how would we commucate or travel, how would we entertain ourselves. technology taking over has been one of peoples biggest fears but its already happened. movies have covered this subject many times before (the matrix trilogy, terminator movies etc). someday computers WILL be smarter than us not because of how smart a computer is but because how dumb the average human being is. think bout it.

True. I was half joking, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't anticipating what happens when we hit 2012. Probably just end up being another Y2K.

What would be funny is if you had a bunch of die hard believers, who leading up to the end of days decided to go out and commit a bunch of crimes. Then the time came, and WHOOPS! the world is still around.

technology id only s handicap if suddenly we had to revert back to the pre-technoogy age.

Funnily enough, that sort of thing HAS happened a lot in the past...

Amongst other things such as large groups of people giving away all their posessions and suicides n all sorts of weird and wonderful shit.

The idea that the world is going to end is in no way a new idea...

Throughout the last few milenia almost all generations have in some way succumb to the belief that the world will end within their time...
