Suck It / Stained Reflections

2 new beats y'all!! Since everyone's been urging me to do it I tried myself at a club beat... check out the dirrrrty flava of "Suck It". also in my most emotional track to date: "Stained Reflections"... my trademark piano licks and stringlines to the fullest. Major props to whoever recognises the sample!

Peace

I am not trying to just diss you, but how old are you making tracks called "Shorty, Suck My D*ck?" You have a track called "Blood in my Eye", huh? Hmm.. Ever heard of George Jackson, the revolutionary author of a book with that exact title? Be careful about what you throw out.. Music is very powerful.

... probably older than you actually! and if i feel like making a track called "shorty, suck my dick" then why shouldn't i? is it childish to write what you think and feel and have a little fun? stick to the musical aspects if you're gonna comment on my work please, thank you. and yo... i wouldn't call george jackson a revolutionary either... have you even read all of his work?? besides it's pretty farfetched suggesting i was even trying to line my music up with his literature. "blood in my eye" is the name of the scene in the movie i sampled for the beat.

some people...

u know what yo... never mind about it, i can't be bothered with any stick from people... i'll just change the names to make everyone happy, lol.

LOL If you older than me, than the saying that age is in no way a sure indicator of wisdom holds true. You are so defensive, which would make me wonder if you are even truly comfortable with your own work. No matter what anyone says (ever), if you are truly comfortable and happy with your work, your art, it does not matter what anyone says or does not say to approve or disapprove.

I have not even heard your track and in addition to this, did you see me suggest that you were trying to line your music up with George Jackson's literature? I never said that George Jackson coined that title.

Lastly, you never fully know who you are talking to. The www. is a very, very big place and there are all types of people floating around that you have probably talked to without having the slightest idea. If you are really looking to do anything of any significance at all in the industry, remember that you must conduct yourself as a professional (even when having fun) at all times. You never know who is around scouting (and that is not just online, but in general). And this goes beyond an artist, this can plainly be said about your day to day life. You never really know exactly who it is you are coming in contact with.

I wish you no less success.

thanks, i appreciate your comments. i'm sorry if i offended in any way but you're wrong in one aspect: i am comfortable with my work and always will be.

Oh you, in no way, offended me. (Thanks for your concern, though. lol) I never said that you were uncomfortable with your work, what I did say is that such a defensive response would make me (or any A&R, manager, scout, or even listener) wonder whether you are comfortable with it.

But that is that, I will leave your thread to what it is you originally intended and you are welcome for the comments.
