you can get a pretty good, working 'home studio' for well under that.

I'd advise the M-audio fastrack USB interface, Monster cables, and the mic's gonna depend on what type of recording (solo?) and what voice type you have. If you already know your answer to this, do a Search for a thread called "mic check" and you'll have shitloads of listings of complete set-ups.

Most importantly, LEARN HOW TO EQ!!! There's a thread at the top of this forum that'll save you time AND money AND make your product sound better.

hope this helps.

Peace

^why go analog? it's the digital age.

and you used a digital mic lol

locknes 06-02-06 04:14 PM

i would go with the firewire1814 for an interface i would go with the rode k2 thats the best but your also gonna need moniters

∆ P E X X 06-03-06 10:50 PM

if you're producing you'll need all sorts of high end digital gear, but if all you record is the sound of your own voice, don't go spending money on shit you don't need, that does jobs you don't do.

word.
