And the teachers shove it down the kid’s heads everything except Facts/
Painting slave owners as righteous and the Panthers portryed as a group of unruly violent Blacks/
That didn’t know how to Act new millinium slavery instead of a whip it’s a book Strapped to our Backs/
But whoever gets to the page first with a pen decides what will be seen in the Sheets/
We all know about Benjamen Franklin but what about if it wasn’t for Garrett Morgan chaotic traffic would collide when they meet on the Street/
And since you’re given them to scientist and people that Write/
That man saved a billion lifes why tha fuck hasn’t he won a Nobel Peace Prize?/
There are over a million black students in various colleges but u wouldn’t know cuz its something you never See/

Every time a history book go in depth about slavery not once have I seen them admit slavery was actually Wrong/

How about the news pay more attention to Maya Angelou or Nina Simone and less on 50 cent?/

It’s a curse to view the news and only see my people doing Dirt/

And the news is quick to portray a black woman as a whore/
Its pityfull because the books act like only white people died in the civil War/
I’m just praying and reading hoping that I’ll be there in the movement in Heaven/
Tell me this Bredren how many times did you see or hear about a black person dying from nine eleven?/
And this by no means am I saying blacks R N anyway better then Whites/
Or we should blame them for everything wrong we’ve done in our Life/
Only thing I’m saying is why is it printed that we the only ones not doing Right?/
Peope die everyday and the hand on the gun or Knife isn’t always the same color as Night/
