Installation Help
 

I recently downloaded various vst plug-ins

but they didn't work when i clicked on them
they were registered as a dll file and it would
ask me what i wanted to open it with....

can anyone help??

u need a program like Acid, Cubase, FLStudio, etc to open them with. i suggest u read the tutorials about vst in the sticky thread

yeah, get up on one of those programs, and then u put the .dll in a specifed folder (i think they gotta be in a certain sub folder for most progs if they are vst's).... for direct x they can be wherever and the prog should scan the computer and pick em up

haha Ive smacked myself quite a few times trying to figure out stupid shit like this.... but not this... then you figure it out and like duh im fuckin dumb haha

it should have an installer for it...then ur program will either detect it at next startup or the next time u restart your system...hmmm...manually throwin the dll with the rest should ALSO work...
