A Memo from The Cynic Society of Hopeless Humans
 

*The following is a fictional letter from a fictional society. I wrote it to illustrate a point, but I think you can figure out that point for yourself. It isn't really poetry, but I feel it had to be written.*

Re: The end of the world

Dear inhabitants of our planet,

It has come to our attention that the world as we know it has plunged into a downward spiral of corrupt politics, meaningless teenage sex and drug use that would put Courtney Love to shame. The so called "best years of your lives" as teenagers are usually spent in someone's basement drinking and making out or buying whatever mind-altering drug you can get from the boy who sits beside you in math class.
In a world where a fifteen year old will get suspended for taking an Advil in school, but can buy as much weed as he likes from the security guard who works at the mall across the street and smoke it in the nearby park with his friends without anyone being the wiser, I think that parents and all authority figures alike need to get past the stage of believeing that their children are the epitamy of perfection and open their eyes to the smoke coming up from the basement. It's bad enough that when you order a pizza and then call an ambulence the pizza will arrive first, but with the prospect of the legalization of marijuana in the future our society believes that you as the people of the world should take a good look at what is going on around you. If this downward spiral continues, we suggest that a mass suicide might be in order.

Um yeah it's kinda based on a true story... the security guard is definetly a real person.But I won't name names.

^Bruklor? I'm gonna phoine the Canadian embassy and tell them security guards are dealing weeds. Giving the name 'Bruklor' and 'Cinderalla' as key players. I'm sure they'll be well pleased...

...interesting read. I could see it was very much from the heart and soul. A plea that slowly wains into a dismal end/solution.

lmao! oh please do, this guy is a serious ass. buying cigarettes for underage kids and selling weed just isn't right in my opinion. I just hope a bus hits him or something.

This was really interesting and original..The title caught my eye and the piece itself was pretty strong and thought provoking..Nice style of writing..the piece had a sort of sarcastic realness to it..if that makes any sense..stay up, nice piece.
