St. Valentines Day

This angel’s prowess,
Got me walking in April showers ..
.. Tryna sum up the words you just can’t say with flowers.
Recalling how I’d gaze for hours,
Over pictures of us ..
.. Taken back when we’d kiss, and lock lips as lovers.
She’d made the one thing possible I’d never believed,
Our relationship ..
.. Was the greatest gift I’d ever received.
And my perfect harmony’s found,
Beneath that Mahogany brown ..
.. With a smile that could rid ANY problem that’s gotten me down.
My heart’s in the clouds,
Succumbed to a desire filled mind state ..
.. At the prospect of romance this Saint. Valentine’s Day.
A table for two booked;
I have the whole thing planned ..
One thousand red roses;
the Two of us holding hands ..
.. As we walk the golden sands of a beaches exposed magic,
.. Back to where we first met,
Where I’ll then propose marriage ..
.. & hopefully she’ll accept; as tears sail from her eyes
Her tears of joy ..
.. making me THE happiest male alive.

.. Sat down in a restaurant,
Watching as the minutes fade ..
She was coming here from work; probably just finished late ..
Those minutes turned to hours ..
.. tired of talking alone,
I rose from my seat, stood .. and started walking home ..
.. through the cascading rain,
My fears encased in ..
.. Deep beneath my breath,
as my thoughts were racing ..
.. Returning home to find; our house now doused in flames
Windows smashed ..
.. I ran inside; shouting her name ..
.. We’d been robbed;
.. she’d obviously struggled and shrugged,
Her pale flesh the centerpiece to a puddle of blood.
