mixer or soundcard
 

hey, ive just recently got into computer music and after using software i now want to but some audio hardware, so far i have thought of:

Audiophile 2496
Oxygen 8
Korg Electribe er-1 (2nd hand)

i was just wonderin wat peoples opinons are, and should i buy the audiphile and extra midi ports (cant remeber what they are called) or would a mixer be better, also how good is a signal from a guitar amp straight to the soundcard?
