wars waged, deaths raged, ink slinks down the apocryphal page
2000 years later and we have no more maturity, just age
engage, for a moment, the entirety of your brains,
embrace the concept of the compassion for all that remains,
one true word, for one true populus,
the revisionist divisions are all that's stoppin' us,
detaining unity, through purely human ingenuity,
those that degrade and enslave receive no impunity,
the idea is simple, a three year old could explain it,
the idea is complex, a hundred Ph.D's can't retain it,
"religion" is "control", the powers that be just renamed it,
let's reclaim it, attain it and stop trying to blame it,
the words aren't the problem, it's the interpretation we've heard,
"Love thy neighbor," unless they're from a different herd,
connect through "officials," only they know the word,
forgive me, momentarily, but this concept leaves me disturbed,
no other man is closer to God than his brother,
that's the truth they fight to keep under cover,
but we can recover from those that have governed,
rebel with a revolutionary yell and dispell,
the antiquated notion of immediate motion to hell,
for those that pray in a different way on a different day,
to a different God who is really just the same,
for if God is all knowing, ominpotent and ominpresent,
why wouldn't he appear differently to royalty and peasants?
The essence of divinity is a flowing river in reality,
taking the form of ideas that present themselves, naturally,
in ways that are appropriate for people being shown,
based on what's known in each persons home,
not a one single concept contained in edited tomes,
the paths up the mountain are many and varied,
some people lead while others are carried,
some seek Jesus, some Buddha, some Allah,
Different trails, same mountain, same view from the top....
