what do you all think of eyedea and abilities' new album. have they gone downhill or kept their positions as a talented, creative duo?

I'd love to see them live, would you know if they ever make it anywhere in Indiana? I first got hooked on Eyedea with The many faces of oliver hart, then I was feinin for this new A&E CD. I have to say I love it. A lot seem to not like the production, but the production is what I like. It shows off eyedea's skills more. The drum programming is great, and so are the scratches. they aren't super technical but they work well and blend in with the track rather than standing out and sounding annoying. i think it was executed very well. the track "Now" is amazing. blew me away. the ending with the electric guitar and scratches is great. I only skip the one track when it's just abilities throwin out samples about relationships and sex. It's cool to listen to once or twice, but i'd rather hear the other tracks.

the last track is very well done. great way to end the album. i am going to purchase first born now...

i saw them live a couple months ago. at the time, i wasn't a fan. but eyedea's freestyles were fuckin amazing and abilities was the best dj i've ever heard so i went out and got firstborn.

how is first born compared to their new cd?

nothing like it, I would say. it's mostly him talking and preaching philosophy with music in the background. more like a bad version of Many Faces than anything resembling E&A I think.
