This is pretty tough, I think hes underground but hes trying to go commercial.

Underground...But that song "Hip Hop" went commerical ...But he's still underground...But he's still good...Prolly one of da top 10 best undeground rappers out there now....

if a song went commercial and people liked it and it got popular then he is commercial...

he more undergroun than commercial i think a lot of him becoming mainstream is due to his affiliation with Eminem and that but now he has dropped em or em has dropped him whatevah way it happened ... he has definately got that underground flavah to him like on his new album Death is Certain...
