Some of NYState's stuff just plain didn't work, like:
"you a fake, you probably gonna be a wack MC you startin to be one, you good, only 1 in a million would agree" -- huh? "you a bastard, i hit harder than da sunlight of da sun" --whatever "0 to da 1 to da 3, a corny zip code you can't believe" --013 is an area code, not a zip code He had one good line with wordplay and a personal diss: "i'm untouchable, i put ya life on da line with a dice roll" And the rest of the time he talked about how his hometown is rougher than Michigan. Some of that was okay, but eventually it got to be just filler. On the other hand, whitedice's verse never really got off the ground. He threw a couple of punches that didn't connect very hard, and his golf reference turned out to be a compliment by mistake. Overall it just wasn't very interesting. Vote goes to NYStateOfMind. |
