What song really brought you into Hip Hop?

I think for me it was Dr Dre - Whats the difference
I had got like Em's album and whatever before that, but back then there wasnt really a big Hip Hop scene In the UK so I heard this song in HMV or somethin one day, and that influenced me to buy 2001, and after that I got more and more interested in hip hop, and bought more and more albums and whatever,

so yeh, I was just wonderin what song really kicked off the hole Hip Hop and Rap for you lot

haha, it was probably coolio - gangstas paradise, i cant even remember how old i was when it came out but that was the first rap tune i remember liking...

after that i was on the eminem and dre shit.... all commercial!!

my first Rap/HipHop cd like in 95-96 Bone Thugs N Harmony East 1999 Album - the whole album was tight. (never forget ^ first Parental Advisory CD i was allowed to get by my folks) I think one song would have to be East 1999.

My first song fuck it album to influence me was truthfully 2pac's 2pacalypse album because it had so much emotion and related to the hood so mucha nd yet he never staye don style on it like one song would be gangsta hte next one pimpish then the next one good one for women and then the next one owuld have a strong message to get out the hood.It ahd so much emotion i will never forget hearing it and buying it.

Spytz 07-02-04 09:16 PM

what?
rappers do that all the time now.
one song for women, one song for the club, one song for the hood, and theyre all wack

JaeBurnz354 07-02-04 09:21 PM

But back then tupac was the new thing and see he wasnt wack his shit made sense and was hot especially with his delivery ahh man can never even forget pac

SkOtEe 07-02-04 09:22 PM

but is that only cos hes dead OR is it cos hes a real dope mafucka??

i think hes dope but not as much as what people think....

JaeBurnz354 07-02-04 09:26 PM

Nah i like pac 4real I'm telling you if pac was still alive i think alot of rappers wouldnt be out right now it not cause he dead i mean 50 and ja rule alot more rappers wouldnt be out if he wasnt dead

SkOtEe 07-02-04 09:30 PM

50 would be hot whatever, he got the image and that gangsta shit but yeah... maybe your right! some people wouldnt be putting out shit, BUT BIG and PAC are made out to be sooo hot cos they dead, i know they both got skills, PAC more than BIG but the media attention makes them seem to be hip hop legends when really theres rappers alive that are way better. e.g Nas and Eminem, amongst others!

God 07-02-04 11:01 PM

bone thugs and harmny - crossroads

AND LOTS MORE

JaeBurnz354 07-02-04 11:16 PM

but Look eminem looked up to pac so i really dont even think he would be put on either people compare him to pac cause of his life so i dont think him and ans trys to be like pac witht he tatto on the chest and style about switchin styles i mean yea media soups them up but truthfully alot of rappers try 2 be like pac or big so if they werent dead it owuld be hard for them to come out 4real 4real
