Text Tournament #2 - Proposal
 

I took the liberty of checking your 'Concluded Tournament's', and couldn't help but notice this idea has been tried before. It appears the idea had moderate success. I'm proposing we hold another one. This would be run my me, and 1 or 2 of RL's 'vets'. (In case you have any doubt that I couldn't do it alone.) Below is a breakdown of how it would work...

Previous Problems..

1. Too Many People - I think you had 64 or some insane number like that. That's just too many, making it less interesting and too hard to add extra's like a magazine, or 'best punchlines'. In this, there will be only 16 people - split into 2 divisions. In other words, it's like the NHL playoffs. Yes, you will be tiered as decided by myself and the other members in charge.

2. No-Shows- Other tournaments have threatened to ban no-shows or remove post counts. Frankly, I don't think we'll have enough power to do this. Instead, one of the tourament organizers will battle you, and try to knock you out. (Unless we're all too lazy, in which case we'll find some random kid in the frontlines to do our bidding for us.)

3. Herbs Galore - I realiaze RL prides itself on letting everyone participate, but this has got to be a little different. This doesn't have as much to do with your talent, as it does with you showing. It's a fact NasHomie88 won't drop a battle 7 times out of 10. I want people to show and make a decent effort.

4. Votes- I know there is alot of D/R on this site, and I'd like to try my best to eliminate that. Basically, if it's obvious to us one person came harder - we'll give it to them no matter what the votes are. (Although this decision must be unanimous with the tourny admins.) Also, you will have to vote on 3 or 4 battles each round - or face a DQ.

I want in! Drop your name, and i'll review your previous battles and make a decision. Please let me know if you want to help run this. I'm looking for someone like L.I or even Carson- who's gained some recognition on this site. So you'll need a fair number of posts. (Sorry.)

Why the fuck should we let you be in charge? I can't answer this, other then to say; trust me. I'm more capable then my post count reads, and i've got more experiance on other sites. Basically, I just want this to go off smoothly.

Name? Suggest some 'creative' things we could title this.

I'd love to get some more feedback on this. (Hopefully positive.) So yeah...

I like the no show proposal aswell.

It's the same name, I'm sitting at around 700 posts over there. Which may not seem like alot, but that leads me to the biggest problem with the original RB... it's too hard to make a name for yourself over there. Too many kid's D/R old vets, who aren't nearly as good as there ego's may suggest.

Anyway, that's why i'm here.
