i dont have all the details but a while ago news broke that sean carter was retiring as jay-z after 10 big years and that he was signin on aftermath under his birthname, sean carter...

it is my opinion that maybe he is signin wit aftermath because of his ongoing fued wit one of hip-hops hottest: Nas. Nas signed wit "the inc" and everyone knows that "the inc" has had its share of confrontations and problems wit eminem's "shady/aftermath."

does anyone else think that Sean Carter has signed wit aftermath to continue this long beef of wits and skill? After all, both nas and jigga been sayin how this war is beautiful because it's of the minds and not of the tech-nine's. They both got respect for each other...so maybe Sean wanted this battle to go on and bring it to a bigger scale. Instead of the battles being nas vs. jigga, or slim, gunit, and d12 vs. benzino, ja rule, and gotti, the battles would be on the actual labels of Aftermath vs. The Inc.
