Alright..

Ive got a sm58 connected to xlr, soon to be connected to an xlr>1/8 adaptor, right....

I was just wonderin, if i connect that to my computer, will the mic work or does it need its own power supply???

If it has an on/off switch... then no you dont need a power source... If it has no on/off switch then your probly gonna need a phantom power source... try it out- it wont hurt anything either way.-- I've never used this mic but thats my experience with mics in general.
