what is a topical battle?

i thought it was when two emcees choose a topic, and write a verse about it,
and whoever's voted as better wins

what is it exactly?

that is what a topical battle is... but what does that have to do wit newbies and vets?

well a topical is when some one pics a topic such as :Terrorism
and the two right a story or a poem about that topic discribing it in very discipted details... as if you were the person in the poem or drop

see that's what i thought it was, and some guy said i didn't know what it was when i voted. but it might 've just been him makin an excuse because i didn't vote for him.
