Mos Def is a renaissance man, but he's more eclectic and can appeal to uh wider range of groups. Nas is also a renaissance man but with uh gun. He adds uh street aspect to what he does, like Pac did, in order to avoid alienating folks, at a certain level of knowledge, who would otherwise tune him out when he expresses the more elevated aspects of his theme (message.) So it's really like comparin Admirals to Generals, and though they both have the same agenda-they have different approaches, and where Mos Def is more general (appealing to a wider audience) Nas is more specialized to reach more folk in the hood (state of mind.)

nuff sed

Abraxas 08-21-04 12:20 PM

I take that back.. after hearing more of mos defs song he is pretty goods but nas is better

TheXFactor101 08-22-04 11:12 AM

ColdClassic 08-22-04 12:09 PM
