how many of you are sick of verses with links?
 

I am. Its the most newbie-esque thing you can do in a verse, right next to simple comparisons and wack personals. (the majority of battles here). I'm sure there are a few vets who can think up creative punchlines, good wordplay, and more complex comparisons. Cuz thats the only way this site will get better, the more people that are real vets, the better.

Agreed. But one thing I think would help that would be to have tutorials emphasized more on her, cause new dude get on these sites havin' never wrote a rhyme in they life thinking they a don or some sh*t and they don't have a clue what it take to have skill.

Some links are ok if their used correctly. The problem is that a lot of people use them without a good punchline thinking the link itself will do the job.. I rarly ever click on links in a battle when im voting.. So if their not used in a real smart way, it probably wont do much for the person Im voting for.

Agreed. But, you will find, that after you do this for two years (as i have), you find 95 % of peoples lyrics to be extremely lame, sometimes unoriginal .. mostly just boring. the GOOD battlers are those who are creative with their lines

no fuck links if this was a real battle youd have no fucking links but you could explain your verse after so that is ok but not links thats some gay nerd computer kid shit i post in my battles no links

Fuck that i still use em not as an explination but i use it as a line up to strenghten the punch my battle im on right now i used links to practically sonn my opponent...basically if u use them to make ur personals official and not look fake it's aight but some links are corny but i like em it's good imagery it ain't newb...like quotes i think if they used right...then they jus as hott
