Audio Questions, Yes I wanna do Audio!
 

i been wantin' to do audio for a long as time, i checked the tutorial section but i'd rather hear what's the best programs, etc. and "what not to do's" from those of you who had more experience with it, i'm actually not a person into computers, i just wanna know what's best for audio.. any pointers?! I want start as soon as possible for sho.. get at me, you audio experts..

Mic is a mic...lol Radio shack or wherever else doesnt matter same products..lol But

no, scrap that. Radio shack mics are wack. They only got computer mics there. You don't want that shit. so DON'T get it from Radio shack. Look online, or if you got a Sam Goody's near by, go there and buy it. Or search online for one. Get one that is like $50-80. A compression one, or somethin' like that. And then you need the mic cable and all that jazz.


And N-Track is best recordin' software. MUCH MUCH better than Cool edit.

nah-- it depends on if your just doin for the computer or you actually wanna make tracks and make a cd or somethin for "real life"--

Spend some money on a mic-- Get Cool Edit and your straight for internet...

Fruity Loops is a real easy program to make beats on if ur into that....

Cakewalk is a good program for mixing your vocals and instrumentals but Cool Edit is easier, Acid Pro is also a good program.

Try and Find a B or A class Condenser mic-- some models are less than 100 bucks and give much better sound quality than a radio shack omni mic.... Get a Pre-Amp if you intend to use ur computer to record to get levels correct ( this will have the power source for the mic built in also). -- thats basic-

I know some kids here use Playstation two Headsets or the little string mics that come with the computer to record and cool edit to mix... Some of us have better equipment-- depends on the money you got to spend and how far you wanna go.

nah I hear a big difference between the b1 i got and the radioshack omni i got... the omni is like 50 dollar mic, but it sounds like trash compared to the b1 which was on sale for 80

I use Cool Edit 2.0 that I jacked and a $5 KOSS stand up computer mic. But im wack ;)

Studio Monitors-(still workin on them,the ones i want is like 800 EACH)

and i have cables hidden in da wall going straight to my vocal booth(with auralex foam)it has a plexi glass window...

^^damn, that is serious, but i don't have my own house and i ain't turnin' my bedroom into it, my dad would kill me plus sumbody would break their neck with all them cords.. everything u listed looked like mumbo-jumbo to me, but i hear all y'all i'ma try all the ones the seem easier for me to start off, then after i understand what the hell i'm doin' with all the shit i buy, then i'll get sum mo' complicated stuff, fa sho.. i do wanna see pictures.. now y'all know i'm gonna ask about beats..!!
