Prayer seems so paradoxical
Implausible to say the least
Yet being unfair is logical
Inexhaustible the way he sees
Because to believe is to ease the mind
And even though we know
Faith’s an empty glass we’d rather ask
Than have to go alone
So we're owned by this distant mass
Insistent his path’s enthroned
We listen alas that religion perhaps
Will happen to cast the stone
Of tragedy prone existence lifted
By the grace of a face we’re never shown
Praised his name in hopes for a place
In this supposed savior’s home
But salvation alone won’t adhere it
It’s appearing secure that sells
An amalgamation of the Holy Spirit
And our inherent fear of hell
Cept hell is just a mirror image
Of the resentment held
Nailed through appendages
And though intended this
trust was sentenced to fail
…

For Heaven’s a roll of quarters
Loose change you make the call
Got a message and you wholly accept his
Blessing our not at all
Still sin’s not our fault
We’ve just been convinced we must atone
Though the messiah’s unlisted
I dialed the digits
But religion didn’t pick up the phone

This was good shit. What I took from it, was that so many human beings base their whole lives trying to get into this place called heaven, while there is no proof that it actually exists. So why do we bother trying to recieve our way in at all..

The last bit was killer..

That there, basically put everything into context for me. And unfortunatly I dont have much to critacise from this.. So Ill ask you to just keep dropping good poetry like this and stay up brutha. :)
