Alone In The Dark
this was in the poetry league....... The Death Sitting at the dinner table with all my family and closest relatives smiliing happily my mother asked me for the potatoes I pass it being cooperative "Thank You" she replies I say "Your Welcome" being on my best behaviour she taught me to be a good person and respect god our only saviour the woman had to raise me on her own I'm a only child and I felt her pain I love her so much and even when I'm mad at her I wouldn't complain I look at the woman who gave me birth but she had a look of devastion asked her what's wrong, but she's speechless clutching her heart in aggravation I could tell she was having a heat attack so I quickly rushed to her side to me she spoke her last words, we eyed, she said "I'll watch over you" then she died. the funeral September Nineteen, my mother Alicia was pronounced dead I shed tears Because I know to her I was placed in her life higher than chandeliers I set out to look my best wearing a suit I thought I've outgrown pushing myself to her grave, memories flashing back, when I look at her tombstone She was pretty young day she passed 39 years old lived life to the fullest 17 when she had me, she was suprised I wasn't a current request but she kept me...it's only been a day since the incident but I miss hearing her voice I remember her telling me to always make the right choice well I left the cemetery, saying to my mother my final goodbye went home and slept my lives demise tears swelling up and I cried In my room sitting on my bed while watching trees rustling on my windows birds chirping a animal was "watching me" I think it was a crow I looked away and finally made my way to falling asleep no one with me, no girl, no family, no mother I felt cheap anyways the dream was blurry and I saw someone who looked like me ancestor I believe? He spoke he said "get over the death" but I wouldn't agree he walked up to me like he was about to assault me I didn't know but he said "I understand go back to reality" but what he said what right though it got blank but I memorized what he said right on the mark I woke up...and just now I realized..."I was alone in the dark" - - - - - ...the crow was the mother if you wanted to know because the last words she said to him was "I'll watch over you" nah mean? |

Damn Rise again...... I liked this it was deep- very descriptive, imagery was real good I could see like a sullen blue-ish scene during the cemetary verse and when goin back home- nice shit... peep me and fluids open mic if u get a chance.. 1

i can relate to it with my Big Brother. he was my best friend but died in DB and i witnessed the whole thing which makes it worst. any wayz good drop.10/10
