i just downloaded adobe audition... it said it was basicly like cool edit pro... im kinda lost with it, just getting into audio, cant figure it out so any help would be apriciated

First you have to upload a beat/instrumental. You can do this by clicking on the folder looking button and searching through your computer files. Once you have it uploaded, click the button that is two buttons over from the folder looking button. This will put your beat into a track. To toggle between multi track and single track modes, hit the button at the very top left. Go to multi track mode. Click the red "R" button in an empty track.....this allows you to record from a mic. To actually record, just hit the record button at the bottom. Once you have everything editted, go to edit and then down to mix down to track.......select all tracks. Take a minute to listen to your final product, then save it as an MP3......and you're all set
