Desired Signs

Below the earth’s core or above the crescent moon…
Our world is filled with deceit, lies, hate, and doom…
If our above disappeared, would it be hell we still feared…?
An image of self-loathing wouldn’t likely be jeered…
Heaven and hell convey a split-universe…
Hell equals the end…Or an escape for the worst…?
One little word raises you from the depths of where you fell…
Asking the eternal question, will it be heaven or hell…?
It too late for the first, or is it time for the latter…?
Is there really a difference, do my actions even matter…?
Spoken like a true poet, these words conjour up emotions…
Is it a sign for the future or just a thought-provoking notion…?
The signs I see, appear eerily…
So hell is where I’m headed, as they vanish into thee…
